Effective 18 August 2026Version 2026-08-18
Please read the complete document before returning to onboarding and confirming acceptance. Mandatory rights under applicable local law continue to apply.

1. Put learner welfare first

  • Act in the learner’s best interests and maintain a calm, respectful and age-appropriate learning environment.
  • Never use humiliating, threatening, sexual, discriminatory, manipulative or exploitative language or behaviour.
  • Do not teach while impaired by alcohol, drugs, illness or another condition that makes the lesson unsafe or ineffective.

2. Safeguarding and professional boundaries

  • Keep communication, lessons, files and payment activity on approved Kaiweo channels unless an emergency or written platform instruction requires otherwise.
  • Do not request unnecessary personal details, private photographs, gifts, loans, secrets, romantic contact or in-person meetings with a minor.
  • Do not connect with minor learners through personal social-media accounts or private messaging services.
  • Immediately report suspected abuse, exploitation, self-harm, grooming, unsafe conduct or another safeguarding concern through Kaiweo support and, where urgently required, the appropriate local authority or emergency service.
  • Do not promise confidentiality where learner safety may require a report.

3. Honest professional representation

  • Use your real identity and accurately describe qualifications, experience, scores, clearances, languages and subject expertise.
  • Do not impersonate another Tutor, share accounts or permit an unapproved person to teach in your place.
  • Do not guarantee examination results, admissions, grades or other outcomes you cannot control.

4. Lesson standards

  • Be prepared and punctual, confirm the learning objective, adapt explanations to the learner and check understanding.
  • Record attendance and submit accurate reports or notes required by the platform.
  • Give reasonable notice of cancellations and use the platform’s rescheduling process.
  • Keep the visible teaching environment, clothing, materials and screen-sharing content professional and appropriate.

5. Inclusion and accessibility

Treat learners and families fairly regardless of race, nationality, ethnicity, sex, gender, disability, religion, age, language, family status or other protected characteristic. Make reasonable teaching adjustments within your competence and be honest when a learner needs specialist support.

6. Privacy, content and recordings

  • Access only the learner information needed for the lesson and do not disclose it to unauthorised people.
  • Do not download, retain, publish or reuse learner work, images, recordings or messages for marketing or training without documented authorisation.
  • Do not record, screenshot or photograph a lesson unless an approved Kaiweo feature and all required notices or consents permit it.
  • Use lawful, age-appropriate teaching materials and respect copyright and intellectual-property rights.

7. Payments and platform integrity

  • Do not request off-platform payment from Kaiweo-introduced families or encourage them to bypass the Marketplace.
  • Do not manipulate reviews, attendance, lesson duration, referrals, discounts, refunds or platform records.
  • Report technical, billing or account-security problems promptly rather than creating duplicate or misleading records.

8. Reporting and consequences

Report a concern to support@kaiweo.com. Kaiweo may review relevant records, temporarily restrict access, request information, require corrective action, remove a profile or end access. Serious safety or unlawful conduct may be reported to payment providers, regulators, law enforcement or safeguarding authorities where appropriate.
